How To Integrate Internet Download Manager Into Google Chrome

Yup, it’s about a new browser, Google Chrome. I don’t wanna give you review about this browser, you can found much more by searching with Google :D . Now I just wanna share my experience how to integrate Chrome with Internet Download Manager (IDM).

I post New tutorial How to Integrate Internet Download Manager with Google Chrome

Open IDM, Downloads >> Options

Check “Use advanced browser integration”

Click “Yes”

“OK”, it will reboot your computer

Don’t run Google Chrome, but open IDM and get to Options dialog

check “Detect new applications that try to download files from internet”
“OK” to save options

“OK”

Run Google Chrome, and try to download something. IDM will take over download

I’ve tested and works for
- direct link download
- www.indowebster.com
- rapidshare.com

not works for
- evilshare.com

wish it will help you all

This tutorial I posted long long loooooooooong time ago.. I don’t use IDM anymore. Last time I check IDM, there was integration setting for Google Chrome. You may check it on IDM under Settings/Options. But, from my friends experiences, sometime IDM (and other download manager) could not catch URL download.

    I think it must be handled by addon like on Firefox
    and Chrome is not ready yet

    blum bisa kayae, coz dibutuhkan semacam plugin/addon di browser nya, sperti .xpi di firefox, sementara ini dokumentasi API Google Chrome masih terbatas (atau malah blum diplubish?)

    ‘Download with IDM’ context menu was appeared on Firefox because when we install IDm it also install its addons for Firefox
    and there’s no addons feature on Chrome (perhaps someday later)

    I’m afraid it can’t :( I think Chrome need extension to capture wheter any video running. I hope it doesn’t take time too long, because chrome extension development being started.
    how about you try this site http://tools-web.co.cc/tube/ to get video link, and then you can download it via IDM

    what do you mean by iemonitor.exe?
    what installation steps you did before?
    try to clean uninstall IDm using Revo Uninstaller the try to re-installing again like what I posted above.
